Benefits Of Using A Phone Surveys Essay - 871 Words

Data Collection Data collection could include surveys that could be done by e-mail or phone because finding phone numbers for social workers and organizations is in the phonebook and online and this collection method would be easier to do. In addition, e-mail addresses are usually listed because everyone uses this for correspondence and mail surveys can get thrown away or lost in the mail. The advantages of using a phone survey is because it is feasible and in-person surveys might not be because of the time it takes and the traveling that might be involved. Making this even more desirable is modern technology which includes Skype which could be useful as well. Furthermore, the advances in e-mail could make data collection easier if that is used because responses would be returned quickly which also is another benefit. Of course, this might even be a better means of collecting data because the self-assessment tests for burnout and fatigue could be e-mailed to social workers and students and they coul d answer them and send them back. Quicker data collection could be done with no expense and if respondents have a specific time frame to respond than the data collection method could be compiled reasonably and in certain amount of time without a long drawn out process.
